Green Hands and EYC present “Rising Sea, Rising Community” 9/15 7pm

The St. Augustine Amphitheatre Green Hands Initiative, in partnership with the Environmental Youth Council St. Augustine, present “Rising Sea, Rising Community”, a public discussion on sea level rise and climate change.

“Rising Sea, Rising Community” will include a showing of the Environmental Youth Council’s video “The March for Future Generations: Break Free from Fossil Fuels”, and a message from Dr. James Hansen, Retired Director of NASA Goddard Space Institute, explaining the most recent research on climate change and the dangers of ice melt, sea level rise and super storms. The public is encouraged to take part in the discussion of where we are and what action we can take in the face of this “global emergency.”

Gates open at 6pm, event to begin at 7pm. This event is free and open to the public with ample free parking. Free food, refreshments and local music to follow the program.
